The Panchayat Degree College was inaugurated in Kantamal Block Head Quarters on 31st July 1991 amid a colourful function graced by a band of luminaries including the then president of the college Late Mr. Talu Nayak,Chairman- Panchayat Samiti,Kantamal, Secretary- Late Akshya Kumar Sahu, Ex-Sarpanch, Kantamal GP, Md. Fakir Khan, Principal, staff of the college, students and elite class of the locality. Since then this premier academic institution began shed lustrure in the academic horizon with +3 Arts subsequently Hons subjects Odia, Education, History, Political Science have been added to the curriculum of the college under Sambalpur University. The College finds place in the 2 (F) &12 (B) scheme of the UGC in 5th December 2006. The college is housed in 24 Panchayats awaiting further expansion. In this respect to accommodate all classes and allied infrastructures the steady growth of the college record the relentless services rendered by its patrons, staff members at different periods of time.
